Supply Chain Optimization

Supply chain optimization uses data, forecasting, constraints, and decision models to improve the flow of materials, information, and capacity across a supply network. Common objectives include reducing inventory, shortening lead times, improving service levels, balancing production capacity, and lowering transportation or sourcing cost. Effective optimization considers trade-offs across the whole network instead of improving one function in isolation while creating cost or delay elsewhere.
