YAML

YAML is a human-readable data serialization format used to represent structured data with indentation rather than extensive brackets or markup. Developers commonly use YAML for application configuration, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment settings.

YAML files are designed to be easy for people to read and edit while still being machine-readable. Because indentation determines structure, consistent spacing is important. YAML is frequently used in tools such as Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Docker Compose, and many cloud and DevOps workflows.
