Circuit Breaker Pattern

A circuit breaker tracks failures and temporarily blocks calls when a service becomes unhealthy. After a timeout it may allow limited test requests, helping distributed systems avoid cascading failures and recover more gracefully. The concept gives engineers a way to reason about tradeoffs between reliability, performance, consistency, coupling, operational cost, and development speed.
